Santa Cesarea Terme
Santa Cesarea Terme is a little town perched on a cliff and renowned for its
excellent health resort. The sulphurous waters rise in four natural grottoes in
the cliff at a temperature of 27°-30°. This feature has made it a favoured destination
for holidaymakers for the last two hundred years, leading to the construction
of numerous flamboyant villas in the original Arabesque style that was in vogue
at the beginning of the 1900s.
Access to the sea is somewhat difficult, on account of the cliff. There are,
however, several well-equipped structures. In any case, the best way to enjoy
this tract of coast with its thousand secret bays and unfathomable blue is by
boat. Don’t miss: the many discothèques along the coast.
