Sant'Andrea
A few km south of Torre dell’Orso stands the enchanting bay of Sant’Andrea, the
widest of a series of inlets that hem this stretch of the Adriatic coast, which
is prevalently rocky here. Sant'Andrea is a typical fishing village snuggled between
the sea with its thousand shades of blue and nature that is still untamed and
stunning. The formation of the littoral territory of Salento survives intact here:
the fragrance of the Mediterranean maquis high on the cliff and the pretty pinewood
behind the dunes make this tract of coast a naturalistic paradise to be treasured.
It is especially wonderful in the morning for its exposure to the sun and the
characteristics of the coast.
